Reviews stopped updating

The usual symptom: everything worked at first, then the newest review in JustReview stays the same for weeks while the platform keeps getting new ones. Nothing shows as broken in the dashboard.

Diagnose it in three steps

  1. Find the date of your newest review.

Open All reviews, filter by source and sort by date. Note the newest date per source. This tells you which source stopped and when, which is the single most useful piece of information.

  2. Check whether the connection expired.

Open Connectors and look at the source. Google and Facebook connections are granted by you through their sign-in screen and expire, for example when you change your password, revoke access, or lose admin rights on the listing. An expired connection is flagged in the panel and needs reconnecting.

  3. Reconnect the source.

Sign in again through the platform’s screen and pick the same profile. Reconnecting to the same profile does not delete the reviews you already collected, they are matched and kept.

Cause by source type

Google and Facebook work through access you granted. This lapses in normal use, and it is by far the most frequent reason imports go quiet. Fix: reconnect.

Trusted Shops uses your TS-ID and account credentials. Changing your Trusted Shops password breaks it. Fix: reconnect with the current credentials.

Sources handled by our data provider can pause when the platform changes its pages or throttles access. That is on our side, not yours. Write to us and we will re-run the import.

Your plan limit. At the review ceiling for your plan, imports stop across the board. Check whether your total sits on 100, 1000, 10 000 or 20 000.

If reconnecting does not help

Write to [email protected] with:

  • the source that stopped,
  • the date of the newest review you see from it,
  • whether you tried reconnecting.

With that we can check the import history for your account and re-trigger it manually. Without it the first reply is always going to be a question, so including it saves you a day.
