JustReview vs Elfsight

Elfsight is the biggest name in website widgets, with about 96 apps in one platform. For reviews the deciding difference is simple: they bill by how many times the widget loads, we bill by how many reviews you store. Their free plan stops at 200 loads a month.

Choose JustReview if

  • Your traffic is real. Elfsight defines a view as every widget load and states that exceeding the monthly limit "will temporarily deactivate your app". We never count views, on any plan.
  • You want more than one widget on the free plan. Theirs allows one, ours are unlimited.
  • You want fresher reviews: we refresh every 24 hours, their Google widget documents a 72 hour sync.
  • You want several Google profiles in one review widget. Their Google Reviews app takes a single Google source and pushes you to a different app for more.
  • You want reviews from marketplaces and booking platforms that actually import: Allegro, eBay, Amazon, Etsy, Booksy, Booking.com.

Elfsight publishes the definition themselves: a view is counted every time the widget loads on a page, and going over the monthly limit temporarily deactivates the app. That makes your social proof a function of your traffic bill. A single popular blog post can burn a month of allowance on the free plan, and the widget goes dark exactly when the most people are looking. JustReview counts stored reviews instead, so traffic and billing never touch.

Questions people ask before switching

What happens when the Elfsight view limit runs out?
Their own pricing page says it: "The number of views is the number of times a widget loads on a webpage or via a share link. Exceeding this monthly limit will temporarily deactivate your app." On the free plan that happens after 200 loads a month. JustReview has no view limit on any plan, so a traffic spike cannot switch your reviews off.
Is Elfsight cheaper than JustReview?
Their entry plan is 6 USD a month (4 USD billed yearly) against our 9 EUR, so on the sticker price yes. What you get for it differs: theirs caps you at 3 widgets and 5 000 monthly views, ours has unlimited widgets and unlimited views with a 1 000 review store. Note that Elfsight prices were on a birthday promotion on the day we checked.
Can Elfsight show reviews from several Google locations in one widget?
Not in the Google Reviews app. Their help centre states that it allows only one Google source and points you to the All-in-One Reviews app for more. JustReview supports several business locations on the Ultimate plan, 20 on Custom.
How fresh are the reviews?
Elfsight documents a 72 hour sync for Google reviews. JustReview refreshes every 24 hours on every plan, including the free one.
